MRI Scan & Imaging
Centers has a full range of MRI scanners available. We are the only
facility in South Florida to offer every
modality of MRI scanning including mid-field, high-field, and open
scanners. MRI Scan & Imaging Centers is a multi-diagnostic center
housing Ultrasound, CT Scanning, and PET (Positron Emission Tomography),
Bone Density and Nuclear Medicine.
OPEN MRI SCANNERS:
The MRI Scan &
Imaging Centers offer two open scanners including the Siemens Open. Both
have advanced hardware and software options. The Siemens Open scanner is
conveniently located in Fort
Lauderdale, FL.
This state-of-the-art scanner offers a wide range of scanning capabilities
while allowing the patient to feel comfortable without the closed-in
feeling.
SIEMENS VISION HIGH
FIELD SCANNER:
The Siemens Vision 1.5
is a powerful scanner with the strongest Gradient Strength and most
advanced applications. This scanner is especially useful for advanced
imaging known as MRA (Magnetic Resonance Angiography). MRA is a procedure
that allows us to view blood flow throughout the entire body. MRA is a safe
and painless alternative to conventional X-Ray Angiography, which is
expensive, invasive, uses ionizing radiation, and is a lengthy procedure
that requires the injection of a dye into the patient's bloodstream. The
conventional X-Ray Angiogram is inherently risky, while and MRA is safe and
painless. In addition to viewing blood flow, this equipment provides the
most detailed evaluation of the brain, spine, and extremities available
today. We also have the capability of performing MR
Cholangiopancreatography (a non-invasive method for evaluating the pancreas
and gall bladder), Breath Hold Abdominal Imaging (for motion free images of
the abdomen), CSF Flow Studies (allowing quantitative analysis of Cerebrospinal
Fluid dynamics), Diffusion (the earliest detection of stroke detection
available), and Perfusion Imaging (to aid in lesion characterization).
MOBILE MRI SCANNER:
MRI Scan & Imaging
Centers received delivery of the first mobile MRI scanner in Florida in 1986. The
same expertise we provide on-site can be made available to individuals who
cannot access any of our South Florida
locations. Our specially trained mobile imaging professionals can bring
state-of-the-art mobile equipment to physician offices, clinics, hospitals,
and other medical treatment centers that do not have on-site MRI
